If you're going to build a successful online business you need to set up a routine and schedule. My business doesn't look anything like it did back in 2008, but I still have a routine and schedule so that I can stay organized and take action each and every day. If you're willing to look at where you are now, where you want to be in a year, you can do the same thing.
Where are you right now? If you are just getting started online you will want to spend time each day learning, and then implementing what you have learned. I started out by reading reports, listening to audio recordings, and taking notes on what I was learning about four to five hours each day. I went through this process for about six months so that I could get a feel for what I wanted my business to look like. The next phase of building my online business was to learn for 2-3 hours a day and focus the rest of my time on blogging, writing articles, creating products that I could sell. Get honest with yourself about where you are now and how you need to start spending time each day to get where you want to be.
Where do you want to be a year from today? This is helpful to you as an online entrepreneur so that you don't feel like you will be at your current status forever. Spend time each day, for perhaps ten to twenty minutes, envisioning what you would like for your business to be like a year from now. Don't be vague when thinking about this, get as specific as possible so that you have numbers to track and measure your success.
Learning from those who came before us is the way to success in any field. Many people are completely transparent in what they are doing, so we can watch what they do and see how this will fit into our overall plan. For example, I saw that others were using affiliate marketing to start bringing in income before they had their own products. This is how I started out back in the beginning too.
The ability to focus, stay on track and learn from others will give you the ability to become much more successful at building an online business that will provide the time and financial freedom you wish to have.
