Watch traders online
Before I go into this discussion I want to make clear that this is not a subscribe here pitch. In fact it may be completely opposite. I urge you to shop around, watch traders online and always go with those who have a free trial as it doesn’t pay to pay if they aren’t making you money. I don’t feel I’m any different than any other trader and my style is my style when it comes to trading eminis. I am a fan of limiting risk and sometimes that eliminates me from a trade, but I know that I’ll be here later and those in my mind who don’t will not. Right or wrong on any trading day I stick to my style of trading the next day. My style comes from what I have developed from watching traders online, reading books as well as opening up an excel workbook and back testing my own emini strategies. None without the other and none of these alone. It’s by all accounts been a process and many lessons have been learned as well as dollar spent both in trading account, books, and watching those traders online. An important thing to realize is that just as I continue to try and learn every day those other traders whom you watch trade live online are no doubt doing the same thing so never forget that. If you aren’t ready to learn everyday then chances are you aren’t ready to trade minis or stocks.

I will never give a bad review about any of the trade rooms or live trading feeds I’ve visited as the trial may have simply fallen at the wrong time. No one will ever know if that year they produced extraordinary gains and really I’m not that interested. For me a weeks’ worth of down days in my account just simply wouldn’t do it for my own style and for what I was trying to do. A few things I learned from being willing to continue to watch traders online. I simply understand that until after I saw and began to watch traders online generate profits I was able to pick up habits that helped me. Even if it was only for a week I knew that I could gain some knowledge I didn’t have before. There’s simply only so much a trader can remember to write about in a book or in an article. He’ll most likely face a scenario in his trading that he hadn’t in some time. At that point his previous experience kicks in and reacts to the situation without hesitation. If I didn’t know why; I simply asked a question and at that point I got a little better.
Understand the importance of feeling the market rhythm
When it comes down to it when I’d watch traders online I begin to get an idea of how to feel the flow of the market. Sometimes a trader will be off and those are the days that most interested me as they would be selling at just the wrong time and buying at just the wrong time. They were getting ripped around as they weren’t at the least slightly in tune with the markets rhythm. Of course there were some traders whom I’d notice have a particularly good trading strategy, but would take trades that I knew to be bad. This is something that is inherently based on strategy and works both ways. Still though it was interesting to see other traders’ moves as it allowed me to get a feel of how the larger traders or majority were looking to exploit. So if you choose to watch a trader online remember that if you don’t ask questions you’ll be hard pressed to pick up any of those valuable emini trading nuggets.
