Viral Video Marketing Tips to Increase Your Traffic

There is a growing number of people who would much rather watch a video than read an article. If used effectively, video marketing can be an exceptional way of boosting traffic to a website and increasing conversion rates.
Video marketing builds solid relationship with your visitors, drives traffic to your site, and increases conversions. It's more dynamic and emotionally more invigorating. I believe that's why conversion rate increases, because when someone becomes emotionally attached to something, they're more likely to respond positively. According to Online Publishers Association, approximately 80% of visitors would rather watch a video ad and 52% of them would take action.
If you do not enjoy writing, then creating a video and marketing it is a great way to get your message across. And it does not have to be a difficult task even if you are reticent about sitting in front of a camera. There are many free applications like Windows Movie Maker, Apple's iMovie and Camtasia’s Animoto which you can use to create a good and effective video with slides and sound effects. Then simply upload your videos to video sharing websites.
YouTube is now the second largest search engine, and having your video on it can generate massive traffic to your site. Another source of traffic is TubeMogul, which has a free version, and distributes your content to video networking communities.
As you create your video, it would be helpful to keep these points in mind:
• Be honest with your viewers. Otherwise, you will attract negative comments, which will destroy your reputation, and adversely affect your traffic.
• Ensure that your video contains something from which your visitors can benefit. In doing so, you attract more visitors, you start to dominate your niche, and your Google ranking will most likely start to rise.
• Try to keep you video short. The attention span of many people is very short, and anything more than a few minutes long, people generally switch off and move on. Avoid unnecessary rambling, especially at the start of the video. It's imperative that your visitor watches your message in its entirety.
• Be meticulous and strive to produce a good quality video. Anything less will result in your video becoming one of the many dormant ones on the internet.
• Optimise your video for search engines by including your keywords in your title and description. Make sure you complete all the boxes provided by YouTube and others. Enter a title, description and some keywords... Google and other search engines use text to index content. And do not forget to include your blog address.
• Use relevant anchor text when you link the video to your blog or website.
One fantastic way to attract visitors to your site is to create a video tutorial. People like the visual step-by-step tuition that videos provide. You can use a webcam to create a video tutorial that will include your computer screen. Why not consider interviewing someone who has an important and interesting subject to discuss?
Finally, remember to share your video on Facebook, Twitter, Squidoo, StumbleUpon and other social media networks.
Wishing you every success!
