Why Is Squash the Healthiest Sport on the Planet

Because Forbes said so.
You’ve probably heard of Forbes - they’re the guys that publish these lists you hear about every now and then. Lists like, “World’s Richest Men”, “World’s Most Powerful Women”, “100 Most Influential People in the World” and so forth. And they’re never wrong. So if they say Squash is the planet’s healthiest sport, squash IS the planet’s healthiest sport.
You don’t look satisfied with that explanation.
Alright, we’ll tell you a little bit more about what makes Squash so amazingly healthy.
A game of Squash burns fat. A lot of fat.
If you’ve watched Squash players in action, you’ll have noticed they do a lot of stretching and lunging. This works up all the major muscle groups in the upper and lower body. It also gets the heart rate up to 80%. And Squash players are always busy during a point; a point is like a short burst of high-intensity training. It works the heart and lungs big time. Experts say that a 30-minute game of Squash can burn around 500 calories. Which is a good thing, if you were wondering.
Builds strength and flexibility
You’re working the muscles in your core and upper body when you drive the ball and make a reach for it. These movements will tone your body real nice.
Also, Squash forces your body to make movements that other sports don’t really call for. So playing the game regularly will help improve your flexibility.
Promotes great hand-eye co-ordination
The sport involves looking at a ball and hitting it. And like every other sport that involves hitting a ball, Squash improves co-ordination and concentration.
Playing Squash will also do wonders for your self-confidence. It’s also a great stress-reliever, perfect for blowing off some steam at the end of a tough work or college week.
So how do you get started?
Pretty simple. All you need are a, a ball, and You can find them at any sport store. They’re even  these days, where we’re pretty sure you’ll find everything Squash related (except for a court, of course). The fastest way to get into action is to join an academy or a club but make sure your instructors are certified professionals before you do so.
So if you’re looking to take up sport professionally or if you’re just looking to stay healthy and have some fun, Squash could just be what you’re looking for. It really is the healthiest sport on the planet. If you still don't believe us, ask the guys at Forbes.
